Samsung has proclaimed that the smartphone manufacturer will unharness a software patch that will fix certain problems plaguing the South Korean models of its flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and S8 plus. according to Samsung’s announcement, the software patch aims to fix red-tinted AMOLED screens and Wi-Fi property problems affecting selected units of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus. Samsung noted that these problems aren’t product defects however the patches will be issued to allow the users to adjust the settings of their smartphones to their preference.
The first problem Samsung aims to fix with the software patch is the red-tinted displays in some units of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 plus. Reports and pictures have surfaced in the net and social media showing completely different displays with different tints, with some units having a very visible reddish tint. so as to resolve this issue, Samsung aims to reduce the reddish tint by providing extra controls to adjust the display colours to the user’s preference.
