Nokia P1 Release Date & Specifications

After the successful launch of Nokia 6 in China last month, now all eyes are on Mobile World Congress 2017, where HMD is going to reveal about Nokia P1, a flagship of the Nokia Android Phone. The Nokia P1 is looking set to be one of the most highly anticipated phone releases of 2017. Nokia P1 were first leaked earlier this year and given us a fair look and hints of its price and launch dates. Here is a comprehensive look at what we know so far about Nokia P1 flagship Android smartphone.

Specifications

The Nokia P1 will run on Android 7.0 Nougat, making the first Nokia device to run Android N. The device will sport a 5.3inch display covered with Gorilla Glass 5, with either full HD or QHD screen resolution. The home button is embedded with a fingerprint sensor for speedy locking and unlocking.

The Nokia P1 will feature Carl Zeiss-made 22.6MP rear camera and 12MP front camera, and also the smartphone come with IP57 certification for dust and water resistance. The Nokia P1 is set to be the company’s most powerful device till now, sporting a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, up to 256GB storage and a battery life of 3,500mAh.

Design

The Nokia P1 will sport all metal body with curved at the corners and dual SIM slot on the left edge and volume & power button on the right edge. The smartphone will also sport a Carl Zeiss lens with Nokia logo at the back. The bottom edge of Nokia P1 will have a USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio jack and the speaker grille. The device also comes with GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi LTE connectivity with color option of Black, Silver, and Rose Gold.

The official pricing and availability is expected to be unveiled at MWC, where HMD is hosting its event on February 26. As per the information we received, the Nokia P1 is expected to come in two variants i.e., 128GB and 256GB. The 128GB storage variant is tipped to start at around $800, and the 256GB storage variant is tipped to start at around $950. As the previous Nokia 6 were launched only in China market, so the new Nokia P1 will also be a China only launch and the international markets should get it at a later date.
