More than 20 new languages have been added to Gboard supports for Android which includes common and interpreted Korean & Chinese language, and it also consisting of multiple languages such as Nimadi, Kangri, Malvi, Harauti, Chittagonian, Lambadi, and Dhundari languages. As of now, Gboard comprising 74% of world’s community and it supports more than 300 national & international languages for the Android version. The change which has made to Gboard will release in coming few weeks.
Although Chinese and Korean speaking population is more, Gboard got us including less known language with excellence typing experience to the user. The languages ( Nimadi, Kangri, Malvi, Harauti, Chittagonian, Lambadi, and Dhundari ) which are adding to Gboard app update are not so common amongst the people.
Angana Ghosh, who manages the Gboard team explains the complexity of adding the less populated language. They really worked hard on this project, as team integrated the local language with so many challenges. Each and every language influence a new experience when people play with the keyboard. Ghosh thanks to all the translators who really help in bringing the new languages to the app. The next update will come when it rolls out for iOS platform.
